So. I decided Lizzie wasn't going to work for me. And then this lil' lady entered my head. Sooo I suppose I've changed my mind? AND NO SHE IS TOTALLY NOT ANOTHER WALKING DOCTOR WHO REFERENCE.

History: The ticking of clocks. That's the first thing that the little Dialga knew. The swarming wave of time and place, the chattering of a million voices, the cries of a billion babies being born, a billion voices weeping for their deaths. The passing of time. This was her world; this was all she knew.

Idris was raised the child of her "grandfather", known to most in legend as Father Time. He was an old man and often too busy and showed little attention to his apprentice, though he loved her all the same. They lived in a palace, lying outside of time and space, where her grandfather's job was simply to watch. Observe. Make sure nothing went wrong in the time stream. Idris was to study the history of the world the great ruler Arceus created, and would some day take over from her grandfather. So every morning, she would be set down in the huge library of the palace and told to study. Idris adored it - she loved reading about all these times and places, and how it all worked. It was all just so... fascinating! She longed to go and explore this world, but her grandfather would not allow her - he said that it would change her, witnessing all he had to witness. So she had to wait, spending her days drawing and knitting and painting and reading.

When she was deemed mature enough, Father Time began to teach her how to travel through time and space. It was a long process to perfect, and exhausted her greatly, but soon, she mastered the skill. She then begged Father Time to let her travel through human history. While he initially declined, he soon calmed down - but warned her not to interfere, and that watching what she had read about wouldn't be as easy as reading about it. However, Idris's curiosity got the better of her, and she began to exercise her new right.

It was a mistake.

It was okay at first. She'd watch little children play in the park happily, watch couples get married, spot happy acts of kindness in the streets. However, then she'd hear the small arguments. A little boy cooped up with abused Pokemon by his crazed father. Humans with huge red "R"s on their shirts stealing and hurting poor innocent Pokemon. People warring over the balance of the land. War. Murder. Sadistic humans. Suddenly, poor Idris began to understand what Father Time had meant. She eventually returned home, traumatised. Father Time felt so sorry for her, and attempted to comfort her, but she went back into her library and wouldn't leave. He then told her of a place where she'd be safe, where her innocent mind could recover...
