Much of Zinnia's background should be kept in the past, where she prefers to keep it. Adopted by an old shiny corviknight to remove the girl from a dangerous situation, she lives in a cottage with him on the edge of the Lake of Rage near Mahogany Town, Johto. It wasn't long after her moving there that she met a very tall, very kind girafarig named Savannah who had returned to her home region and was picnicking at the lake. They became fast friends thanks to the giraffe's softer nature and demeanor, earning the nervous vaporeon's trust and becoming pen pals. They write frequently, and when Zinnia was given a phone so she could talk to her friend with easier, Savannah gladly gave her the information to the PA network. Currently they've been mostly DMing, but perhaps this elusive mon can be spotted in the chatroom, testing the waters

After quite a bit of interacting with some of the already-attending students at Pokemon Academy, the young vaporeon's interest in joining herself was piqued. After talking about it with her adoptive father who was very supportive and encouraging of the idea, Zinnia decided that she would definitely apply to the academy for the impending fall semester. The academy has a plethora of strong students guarding each other and good security keeping the school safe... which was incredibly high on the aquatic kitsune's personal checklist of requirements. Additionally, the vaporeon isn't too excited about having to leave her Papa for long especially knowing who- what's out there looking for her... but she's happy knowing that she can call him anytime from the safety of the school, and there's several water sources nearby that she can venture to and explore for fun
