Description
So, this is a little surprise for ~Ayla1991 and ~Shiyou-chan- and my selfish opportunity to prove that I actually am perfectly able to draw other things than manga, anime and ponies!
It is based on their following image:

It has been used…sort of without permission. Obviously it wouldn´t have been a surprise if I had asked, and both of them said they were fine with me drawing them based off one of their pictures after I had drawn a fanart based off one of ~Shiyou-chan ´s photographies.
They are both going through a pretty rough time here on dA due to some trolls bullying the Hell out of them – and when I say “bullying”, I mean “bullying”. So I thought I´d paint them a little something to cheer them up. :3
If they want me to take it down, I´ll take it down.

Ja ja, ich weiß, ich hab vorher nicht gefragt ob ich das Bild nutzen darf – es sollte eine Überraschung werden. Wenn ihr wollt, dass ich es wieder von dA nehme, sagt Bescheid und ich werd´s tun.
Ich dachte mir, ich mal euch ein kleines Bildchen. :3 Hab mich an Realismus versucht; ich hoffe, ich hab eure Gesichter nicht allzu viel verhunzt.
Tut mir einen Gefallen und steht immer so stark zusammen, wie ihr es jetzt tut, ja?
Besonders in so schwierigen Zeiten merkt man, wie wichtig Freunde sind, und ich kann mir euch Beide nunmal nur im Doppelpack vorstellen..
Also lasst euch bloß nicht von irgendwelchen Schrumpfköpfen das Leben vermiesen! Und bleibt auf jeden Fall so wie ihr seid, ihr Knuddelmüffchen. Hab euch lieb!

Naaah, don´t put yourself down. This up there took incredibly long and I shed a devilish amount of blood, sweat and tears over it.
Maybe humans aren´t your cup of tea? I on my side have huuuuuge difficulties drawing animals, except horses. But when it comes to dogs or cats - especially lions or tigers - I cannot draw them. Often enough I even trace them.

Oh gosh yes, that face was far easier to do than Sebastian´s. I definetely have trouble drawing people with defined cheekbones.

I have to say that Shiyou´s face was easier to draw, because her cheekbones are less defined than Ayla´s and cheekbones do kill me. XD

Das war so zwei Tage bevor der Regen anfing; wir waren auf einer 7-km-Wanderung und als wir dann nachmittags in den Baggerweiher schwimmen wollten, war ich rot wie Erdbeermarmelade. Mittlerweile seh ich eher aus wie eine Schlange während der Häutung... :/

Holy sweet mother of food, I REALLY thought this was a cosplay photo manip!! And I had to ZOOM IN to see that you actually DREW IT.
And I swear, I'm still staring at awe at Ciel's hair, amg;;
Just look at that realistic shading ... the skin tones are so realistic and believable! They blend well so nicely! And I love the color and detail on the lips ... the shiiiines~
What is most amazing is that you captured their expressions that they have in the photo almost exactly!

I had to give the picture several tries before I found the right skintones.
It´s not easy for me; I actually got it either too dark, too yellowish or too pinkish.
Yep, wanted to do something to cheer them up a bit, as I know them personally.

Hihihi, I love it when you describe your thoughts like that.
Frankly, this was an experiment. I had read some tutorials about skintones and drawing faces, and wanted to try it out. My plan was to gift them a fanart, and just try to draw them and delete the file afterwards. But it worked out so well that I decided to finish it. And I was surprisingly quick with it, though it was tiring.
