Description
Part 2 of the birthday present I´ve made for ~AbschaumNo1 .Part 1:
I´ve got her a Paris themed notebook, since she writes a lot and always carries one around with her, but I thought only a puny little notebook doesn´t make a good present.
(Don´t let yourself be influenced by me; I am that crazy.)
So I´ve decided to draw her something, and as I couldn´t decide on one subject, I chose two.
Tom Hiddleston. Do I really need to introduce him?
Shakespeare´s play “Coriolanus” will be staged this December 2013 at the Donmar Warehouse in London, and Alex and I are quite fond of the promotional photoshoot for it.
So many emotions in just one face -! I can´t even…
I have to admit – this is the second version of this picture. I´ve saved at an earlier stage, judging I had worked enough on it. Then I reopened it in order to print it, and realised that I could still work on it.
And look where we are now.
I am not afraid to say that I am positively proud of this piece.I hope Alex will like it as well.

Oh my gosh, it's like the comment below me, it's like Mona Lisa, the eyes follow you no matter where you go, even under your bed or under the computer, you just KNOW they are staring at you.
No but seriously; wonderful job; the anatomy is perfect, facial proportions and all. He has a kind expression, in my eyes.
Really love the highlights and the details around the eyes and eyebrows, especially. Wonderful work~

I didn´t notice it AT ALL until I printed it. Haven´t tried it yet with the on-screen version.
And I still don´t know how the heck that happened. XD
I don´know if you´re familiar with the Coriolanus photo series...you have different shots of Tom´s face, and on this one, his eyes are filled with tears. If I recall well, you see one single tear rolling down his cheek on another one. I think that´s where his kind expression comes from.
But thank you so much! Tried black and white for once as only colours; it was easier as I would have imagined.

I didn´t do it on purpose. I mean, the orignal doesn´t do it, and I have no idea why mine does it, but yeah.

Wow, Sweet you are SO AMAZING. THAT LOOS AMAZING. It's super accurate and it really looks like him. The face looks perfect - everything is in it's place really well, the face looks completely natural, the ...perspective(?) is perfect. Love it!

His face is more difficult to draw than it looks like, because it is obviousl asymmetric.
No face in the world is perfectly symmetric, in fact, but it´s not obvious. I think you sometimes see it when you look at his cheeks.
Those little imperfections make faces interesting, don´t you think?
The creepy thing about the printout is that his eyes seem to follow you when you look at it from a distance.
I´m not sure whether the on-screen version does it as well.

I think so too. It´s easier if you hold the printout up and a few meters away from the person looking at it.
