Do you know the sound spider legs and fangs do?

I can hear it behind me. The cobblestones under my heels echo the pounding of my heart as I run for shelter; the rain-filled air reflects my heavy breathing with small mist clouds. I run, but yet I know that they will find me. I know it. They always will, because he always will. I am nothing more but his prey; they will get me and drag me back to him. Like a fly captured in a spider´s web, he will hold me imprisoned in his web, poison me with his words, break my limbs with his hands, tear my heart apart and devour my soul.

No matter how far I run, he will always be right behind me.

A picture based on an ongoing roleplay I´m doing with *DatNachtmaehre - and just in case you´re wondering - yes, we do RP this on the phone. XD

So we both quite like Alois Trancy. Firstly we think he´s fun, secondly we think he´s cute, and thirdly – how could you possibly not love him, knowing what he had to go through?

We both agree on the fact that Alois would have been better off with Sebastian, psychologically and emotionally spoken (absolutely NO SebastianxAlois intented here!), and vice versa. I mean, we all know how much Ciel can actually get on Sebby´s nerves, don´t we?

So we imagined what would happen if Sebastian would befriend Alois – if you can talk of “befriending” when speaking about a demon, but let´s say…feel a certain kind of sympathy for him – and agreed to help him to get rid of Claude – which he certainly would do, as he loves Claude oh so much. *irony out*

Sebastian hides Alois in the Phantomhive manor. He disguises him as a girl, telling Ciel that she´s a young lady who ran away from an abusive man in the household she worked in and seeked shelter at his side. It worked out once, and now with a little demon magic, Ciel doesn´t recognise this lovely lady Sebastian calls “Alice”. Alice starts working as a servant apprentice, bringing Ciel occasionally tea or some sweets, but that´s really everything she has to do. Ciel soon befriends her, and she becomes his “companion” in the Victorian sense of the word – noblemen and –women often enrolled professional companions to…well, keep them company, simple as that.

“Lady Alice”, as Ciel soon calls her, enjoys this little charade at first, as she likes to make fun of Ciel, but she realises very soon that she´s developing a soft spot for the blue-haired boy. Ciel, on his side, likes Alice more than he should – even Lizzy and Frances notice it, which causes a whole lot of trouble.

The big question is – Ciel likes Alice very much, but will he still be able to like her as much when he finds out that she´s Alois Trancy?

Oh, and there are reapers in there as well. The Undertaker and Ronald Knox play quite important parts in it.

The scene obviously shows Sebastian pouring Lady Alice some tea. The cat on Alice´s lap is called "Ciel"; Alois found it as a kitten in a dustbin and christened it after Ciel because he liked the name, and to make fun of Ciel, of course. The dress he´s wearing has been paid by Ciel, and the hairband was a gift Ciel exclusively bought for Alice.

As for the title - yes, I did have that song in my mind. But considering that Alice is not who she pretends to be, living next door to her - under the same roof - becomes an emotional threat for Ciel, so I thought it´ll fit.
