Lysithea is actually my life rn. I actually have some issues properly recruiting maybe you can help me ^_^? (don't want to get accidentally spoiled so haven't looked online) Bernie likes the Bow and Strength, does that mean Byleth has to have those stats high enough for her to join or just the whole of the Golden Deer stats? Because I'd like Dorothea (that hat and the passive healing) so if I focus on the bow and strength for Bernie I won't be able to focus on magic that Dorothea likes? The game doesn't explain it and I'm lost

Not sure if you're still waiting for an answer,
but when it comes to recruiting, typically the first requirement is a skill level, the second being a stat level. C- is basically what you need to hit for recruitment conditions for skills with any character. As for the stat level requirement, I don't know what that number is.
That said though, recruiting is supposedly easier if the person has a relationship with you, like if you eat with them or have them assist you for the month you can use those as opportunities to get to at least 1 support level, from what I've heard and have experienced it's easier to recruit them if you have at least 1 level with them
