I can't imagine sitting in the library to be that boring usually, specially for someone who like reading like Lolita, but I have been making her smiling a lot in my latest artworks, which isn't a bad thing, which made me long for seeing the usual bored look I made on her face on my first few artworks of her. Also she is having a long hair again now. I think she looks cute both ways, but I really wonder which one do you guys prefer, long or short hair?Related content

As for the good stuff, I will try to do more of them in the future, though I will also try to do new things as well.
I drew the picture on illustrator, and colored it on Photoshop by the way~

First of all, the design and style of the character are great. I truly give credit to how you put some life in the clothes and if not accessories being portrayed in your work. They give a sort of realistic factor blended in the anime styled theme that you use.
The color is good and was kept into a minimal basis, just enough to give your work its just beauty and style.
For the background and additional aspects, well I can say that you kept it somewhat simple. Dear Trainer, thank you for taking the time to critique my artwork, and sorry for th late reply, I have been a bit busy lately.
Yeah, I get that a lot, people seems to like the way I do clothes, glad you like the way I colored the hair accessory, it is gonna change in the future, since I am willing to experience few new things, but it will appar again in the future.
I think that's not a good thing, maybe more color would have made it look even better :>
I agree, I will try to put some background in my upcoming artworks, even a simple background can do wonders. ;D

I really like how this came out, but the bow on her headband looks a little bit out of place.

I agree, I noticed it but felt lazy to fix it, I will consider fixing it after I get some sleep -_-
It is not a jacket, it is supposed to be a winter blouse, did I make that wrong?
I am glad you think so, I think I mastered making bows that way, which is why I plan to color them in a new way in the near future :3
And you actually read that? But maybe calling it "French Literature" was a mistake, since Lolita likes that and it won't really makes her bored.. And I was following a critique advice that I should create some sort of environment around the artwork to give it a meaning to the viewers so....
I am not really sure how much it took me, but not that much really, I estimate it to be between 10-14 hours, but the line art was fairly simple so it didn't take me much to finish, and yeah, I tried various new techniques in this picture.. Does it look that much better?
Also, I noticed that you don't usually give me much on the "Technique" category, what do you think I am missing there?
I plan to make a very cute one next time, you will definitely love what she will be wearing in it(it is not really my design, but it is worth drawing).

I think I've sat like this more times than I dare admit, and felt bored more times I've slept.

The best thing I found was from watching video tutorials, and time lapse videos of people drawing. They are quite informative to be honest, looking and learning at all the techniques people do and so forth.
Here are two youtubers I strongly suggest -

There are plenty of them on youtube and the likes, but they are a fantastic source of learning

I am very glad you think so, I won't let you down there, I had a some very good plans for the next few months, I already do a lot of R&D by the way, which is one of the main reasons I keep improving, including looking at my own artworks :>
