WHOA I come back to upload something and dA has gone all stylish and cool. Interesting.
Art trade with ~Tigzz of her character Sam. I wanted to practice my male (and human in general) anatomy more, and Sam was a good opportunity. I think I did a pretty good job with him
Plus, he just seemed like the kind of guy that would stand around with his shirt off trying to look cool. xD Hope you like it, Tigrina!I just hope that people are going to fav this for technical skill and overall look, and not for subject matter. if you catch my drift.

I'd advise you to download and learn from photos of humans and dogs, learn the anatomy properly, and then combine it in your own way. I don't like to make my art downloadable, sorry.. and anyway it's a better idea that you develop on your own.

I love the anathomy! I'm realy bad at drawing human bodies, so on my drawings Sam often looks just like a dog, that stands on back legs.. xP

I understand.. I had such a hard time with human anatomy at first that for such a long time I would only draw animals and no humans at all xDD Then gradually I started getting used to it because I wanted to draw anthros... and then practised even more because I thought I should take the bull by the horns and start learning to draw humans properly, hard as they are xDD Life drawing classes in art school are what helped me the most. It just takes a LOT of practice to get familiar with the form and muscles... but it's really satisfying to get it right

LOL, you're right xDD It's a German Shepherd-inspired ear, which is why it's so sticky-uppy. But oh wells. I need to figure out how to draw erect ears proper o.o thanks!
