the inspiration behind this was when I was sitting at a bookstore by some shelves, reading, very much interested in what was going on in my novel but every so often I'd take a break from it and start poking through the shelves next to me and flipping through other books because they'd catch my eye too. Switch is the manifestation of my gemini-ness so of course she had to be the subject.

Anyway, so cool dude! I really like the cleanliness and smoothness of the lines and coloring and despite the fact that this is a "doodle"... the idea's really cute, too! I seriously love going and hanging out at my local bookstore for hours on end... it's fun and even better, it's FREE!
I find that quote of yours very interesting as well. I'm an Aries myself but one of my best friends I used to work with was a true Gemini... that girl had the attention span of an espresso bean I swear, which was usually made worse by how much caffeine we were usually drinking together

Thanks! The tablet I'm currently using for some reason doesn't draw as well as my late one did, so lately what I've taken to doing is sketching the form in very lightly and then zooming in and cleaning up/"inking" to get a line quality that doesn't make me want to rip my hair out (I'm very finicky about line quality). This new technique - as used in this picture and the two previous ones of Whiskey and Sombra - works very well for me and may make me go back to doodling in Photoshop again, which I haven't done at home in a while.

And oh you're totally welcome! I definitely understand what you mean about line quality... when I do my lined arts (though, I've been experimenting more with painting recently) it's a big deal to me, too. They have to be strong but clean, smooth and nicely tapered... but hey, nothing wrong with being a perfectionist about that!
And yay! I'm happy that you are as fond of Aries as I am of Gemini, haha! XD We must indeed just compliment each other well! And thank you SO much for that link; in all honesty I spent several hours there reading up on several of the signs... I totally am fascinated by astrology! My girl happens to be a Libra which is... an interesting mix with an Aries, anyway (honestly, the Aries/Libra relationships article on the site had me cracking up because it is SO true, especially about the part with me pretty much being doomed to lose every quarrel LOL)!

I love that there's a giant Borders near my house! Happy fun times. I'm glad that the rain's been cooling everything off over here, but it does get really tiresome to see nothing but grey skies. Lucky I have indoor distractions.

my friends and I have been doing some amount of research in the process of making these 'zodi-sonas' for ourselves and our friends if you will. our aim is to try doing something unique and different, that plays more into the symbolism and the elemental aspect and how it personally relates to each of us as individuals too - rather than just sticking horns on a person or something haha. for me personally, it's the result of seeing too much gemini-themed art that to me didn't really capture the essence of the sign.

Heheh yeah I agree with what you said about the site and whatnot... I mean, of course not everything sounds exactly like me and my girlie but the stuff they did hit was so spot-on it was scary, haha! XD I read up a little about you guys too, heehee... it's always fun learning about this sort of thing and then trying to apply it to actual people that are in your life.

lol This is adorable. I love the foot with the lil toes. Even better how you express the positive truth of Gemini for this scene is so typical and I'm not surprised you had to books going at once. I tend to find myself doing the same on occasion. Like having 3 mangas and not knowing which one to start 1st. I read a bit of one and can't help but explore the others....so I end up buying them all T_T my poor moneis.
Working on a Dean Koontz book currently. I would be chewing threw it much faster if it wasn't for the job hunting. It's the Odd series and I wanna know so badly what this strange guy with supernatural cronies wants with Odd and what's his deal. Cursed job hunting slowing down my literature delights. I can't wait to continue to the next book and see what he encounters next......sry I ranted again heeee ^_^

Yeah! I've recently taken a hiatus from work due to downtime, and also 'cause my boss says I may as well chill until all my visa stuff is settled anyway. So I've been just chilling and hanging as well - been keeping busy with some freelance stuff here and there but the break is very welcome at this time, I was starting to get worn down. Collabs are fun, I hope you enjoy yours and you gotta show me when it's all done.

I do the exact same thing. Starbucks iced coffee cup in hand and everything. Tho usually Im surrounded by a pile of maybe ten books comprised of graphic novels, mangas, and fantasy literature. Its fun making my own section in bookstores
Very nice color scheme, I enjoy the contrast between the soft mellow blues and the vibrant yellow, orange and pink. Definitely very Gemini lol
