I really like this piece.
The colors in the background are very warm and not too intense therefore they don't take away focus from the bird. The fence leads your eye to the "regular bird" almost immediately. And once you get to the center of focus, the bird, your eyes linger, taking in every detail of this bird; the feathers, the colors, the beak. It really is quite gorgeous. The quality is fantastic...I can see all of the lines and ruffles in the feathers.
I think it might improve if you crop off a little bit of the blue sky. The colors in this photograph are really neutral, the bird, the weeds/trees in the background, and the fence, and I think that the little bit of blue at the top is a little distracting.
