These go for a lot less money than you'd expect.  You get the legendary Toyota reliability without the normal Toyota bland.  Not saying you should trade Big Mac in but... yes, yes I am.

Sure is tempting, but in terms of JDM Toyotas, mein herz already belongs to someone else-

Very cool car.  I prefer older vehicles, and the older the better.  Cars today are just too flimsy in my opinion.  I prefer real metal cars.  60's and 70's models.

I too prefer the cars of the '30s through the '80s.  Most of today's cars are nothing but appliances.  Like a washing machine, the most important question is 'beige or silver?'  But the Sera was never sold here, and it was one of the last truly quirky Japanese cars.  It has one fairly notable feature that makes it cool:

Butterfly doors!

I did not know that.  I just thought it was a sharp looking car.  That is damn cool!

There are very few of these in the USA, and I've been fortunate to see two of them.  Thanks to our law regarding importing cars never officially sold here (25 years or getting certified for meeting crash testing, emissions, etc.), these have only been eligible for importation since 2015.

They haven't really caught on in popularity yet (probably because despite being a Toyota, they're fairly obscure), but you get the coolest feature of the DeLorean with a practical hatchback, and without any of the reliability issues of the DMC-12.

It would be cool to have one and Toyota's are really good cars!
