Thanks! For BMW, we often say Bolid Młodzieży Wiejskiej (racing car of rural young people), Będziesz Miał Wydatek (you're gonna have expenses) or Będziesz Miał Wypadek (you're gonna have accidents).

A former classmate of mine called Fiat "Fix It Again, Tony". And CB radio operators called Ford "Fix Or Repair Daily". I don't know if either of those statements is true.

Sounds like it even works better in Polish!
BMW drivers have certainly developed a reputation around the world - not all of them good. I'm told in Beijing if a BMW is involved in an accident, it is pretty much assumed the BMW driver is at fault, due to the arrogant reputation those drivers have attained there.
Don't get me wrong: I loved the handling of the BMW I drove at a one day driving school.
I bet Swifty could come up with a whole list of the 'general attitudes' of the drivers of certain vehicles - I'd volunteer the tendency of most Camaro owners inability to use their turn signals (or maybe they're just a rare option on that model?)

I actually toyed with doing a top ten list on the subject a few weeks back. Some of the cars I considered:
BMW (arrogance)
Mustang (Cars & Coffee disasters)
Camaro (rednecks)
Prius (either they drive at 45 everywhere regardless of the speed limit or they're blowing past at 90 on the highway but its okay because they're driving a hybrid)
Corvette (geriatric)
diesel pickup, particularly Ram Cummins (rednecks, bonus points for right wing bumper stickers)
Civic (elderly if new, tuners if old)
Focus (redneck tuners, aka domestic rice)
Volvo 240 (yuppie accountant, bonus points for left wing bumper stickers)
There are a lot more of them, but I ultimately decided against it because I was afraid of offending people.

Yeah, I understand that. People get a little overly sensitive sometimes about opinions and getting lumped into generalities. Just the other day someone was questioning me driving a 'chick' car - the Eagle Talon. With the all-wheel-drive, it doesn't bother me. I still like driving it.
(I did fix the power steering leak.)

I had one myself, and mine was a chick's car (it was a 1.8, and first owner really was female, and she must not have maintained it because mine was outright junk). And yeah, if I really wanted to step on toes with car stereotypes: Miata, New Beetle, and Subaru.

You remain the only person I know who's had good luck with MoPars made after the Slant 6 and 2.2 era. Maintaining them helps, something I presume most MoPar owners don't do.

Coming from a place where the rust tended to make the cars last less than 7 years, I probably grew up paying more attention to maintenance then the average Joe. But I'm sure there are others out there besides me that have made their cars last as long or longer.
I will admit my Dad put in some real effort to make that '79 Chrysler Newport last as long as it did, and I wish I could've afforded to keep it around after 2004, because it ran and looked good even then...

Ah, the Sera. It looked SOOOOOO cool in Gran Turismo 4, especially in black. Too bad it was useless.

You can legally drive that car in the US? Sweet!

LOL I have yet to see a ls swapped skyline. Even Americans know the RB26 is one of the best engines ever made.

Well, some are, but most know better to keep a skyline engine in a skyline. The only better engine possible is the notorious 2JZ.

Oh, no. Putting a 2JZ in a Skyline is absolute heresy

hehe, it depends on personal preference. Many swap the 2JZ merely for drag usage. Bottom line with the RB26 is if you're not in the UK, Australia, or Japan, finding quality RB parts is hard and expensive. So many just simply go with the 2JZ, since it is more readily available and parts are cheaper. Besides, the 2JZ can handle a LOT, a LOT, of power. The most powerful built RB26 has made around 1500 hp and even then many parts had to be constantly replaced, whilst many built 2JZs have pushed over 2000 hp and 60+psi of boost without any minor damages. Heck, you can slap a single turbo kit on a bone stock 2JZ and hit 700hp without modifying the cams, pistons, crankcase, block, or head valves.

Don't worry, that won't be until the year 2024. I'll be 34 years old by that time.
In case you're not aware, the R34 Skylines are legal to drive in Canada, because they fall under that country's 15 year rule.
