A bit late to the party, but here’s a comic style take on the Sonic Forces trailer. Well, okay, probably more of a Forces/STC mashup AU.
Whichever version of Sonic this is, he’s been gone for a while and wasn’t expecting to come back to this…
(Colouring experiment: I’m trying to work out a basic shading style that is reasonably fast and suitable for fancomics. A video timelapse and desktop wallpaper of this image is available on my Patreon! )

This is a truly stunning and dramatic drawing of Sonic with the apocalyptic destruction with it being a Sonic Forces/STC story! The poses and expressions are truly unbelievably amazing! Full of seriousness!
The outlines, the colouring, the shadings and highlights, the tiny details and the background are all truly phenomenal!

My headcanon is that Forces takes place immediately after the ending to Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, where Eggman takes over the world while Sonic and the gang are dealing with something else in another dimension.

I really do miss the storyline of STC2 this reminds me to. And I hope Sonic forces goes as far as I hope it does. This is just amazing
