Thank you so much. I wish I'd taken the shot with something better than a phone. Something with higher resolution would be nice for larger prints and any editing I might have wanted to do.Β

Indeed! No matter what, I believe what makes an artist/photographer a great one is doing the best you can with what you have, rather than fussing over not having professional equipment at that moment inΒ time. Higher resolution or not, you captured the atmosphere and effect you wanted when it struck, so that's what truly matters right? You feel it, we feel it, thus regardless... it is stillΒ a lovely photo despite the downfalls.

This is a very good shot. I'm a regular at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and I know how hard it is to get good pictures through all the glass.

It was a pretty lucky shot to be sure - the light was great that day and the sharks were willing to swim the tank a little bit instead of just circling around in constant steady circles. Thanks for taking a look

Thank you very much - the aquarium is designed to mimic the outer bay habitat in the area right down to the smallest details, so it's very cool to look at. Of course it doesn't hurt that the sun was perfect that day so the top-lighting effect was spot on and the sharks happened to be cooperative models, swooshing by dramatically rather than slinking along in straight lines.

I've heard quite a lot about that aquarium, hopefully I'll get to visit it oneday.
Unfortunately Australia doesn't have things quite on the scale of that
