Interesting creatures. I particularly like that they are mostly furry rather than scaly, it really sets them apart from being confused as some form of Earth's ankylosaurs.

I take it you're referring to to the Varagorgons.

Them to a small degree, More so the Guillotineodonts. They are the dominant large land predators on most of the planet. The Varogorgons are closer to bears in habit and feed quite often on vegetation as well as meat. The last fully carnivorous Varogorgon died out over 20 million years ago due competition from the Guillotineodonts. Varogorgons can't stand cold temps for long so when the Great Ice Age hit most of them were wiped out in the northern lands. Also competition with Mammalate carnivores at that time didn't help. in the end it was the Guillotineodonts and their relatives that one out over the Varogorgons and the Mammalates throughout most of the world.
