The car tossed over and over, fast approaching the water below. The roof compacted and crushed the drivers skull, delivering the fatal blow to him before he even hit the ocean. His lungs filled with water and blood seeped in to the sea as darkness swept over him.

But then that light came for him.

He breathed heavily as the others introduced themselves. Humans. He barely knew of humans. Barely remembered them. His memories had all bled from him as he was dying.
But here he was suddenly breathing. He remembered breathing. He hadn't done it in a long time. The memory hit him hard as the others talked. His chest felt cold and sore. Seeing these faces had reminded him of an older time. Reminded him of what he was.

Being human, to The Plow, was pain and suffering.
