Yes, I am officially alive and well. I have survived my second to last semester of engineering, and I am almost done. I am on break now, which means I actually have time to relax and revisit things I started a year or so ago, like this piece. It was inspired by this cool video a while ago: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofFCGB…
Granted this was all still before we knew that Daring Do was an actual pony and all of her adventures were real, but who cares. Of course ancient history for ponies is the time of chaos with Discord, and the time of peace with the rule of the two sisters Luna and Celestia, and Nightmare Moon and all of that, but what about before that? Surely there are pony empires dating back before the forming of the empires mentioned in Hearth's Warming Eve (speaking of which, happy belated Hearth's Warming Eve!). Princess Platinum and Clover the Clever were the unicorns at the end of that separate dynasty that must have spanned many generations. But where did it all really begin? Are we ever going to get to a look into pony prehistory? Anyway, I envisioned our pony adventurer happening upon the ruins of a unicorn empire, which looked like it could have been quite impressive in his prime.
