I wanted to try out a program called Krita and I figured a good way to try it out would be to do a photo study... Since I was recording the process, it was easiest to just use a picture of myself.You can view the YouTube video of how this was made here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMERD9β¦

If the download says it is a MAN file, try a different web browser like Firefox or Chrome or rename the file extension to .msi.

Not really. I tried it on my companion and realized that krita brush engine is slow as hell. On resolution like 4k when I tried to paint it almost killed CPU and delay was ~5-10 sec. Developers knows about such problems and said that may be in 3.x version they gonna make some optimization.
But yeah, brushes there are nice.

wheni use krita the program wont pick up my pen. but when i use a mouse its fine.
i use a wacom intuos 4. is there a reason for this?

The past few months had a focus on switching from Qts tablet functionality to Kritas own, which, coincidentally has been further upgraded today. Krita is in very active developement and improvement are worked in steadily, it's a good idea to check the website for news often, you problem might be fixed by now and if it is not, then it will most likely be fixed eventually....optimally

Amazing. I like the smaller version of it better than I do the large version. The large version looks out of focus. Anyway, if this is a self-portrait, you are one intimidating dude.

try the x64 one if you have a newer pc as that will run better

krita is like ... as real as digital painting can get...it simulates brushes very well...and can still do your non-real digiatal painting
my paint has some "okay" brushes but they are still quite a bit artificial...
Paint tool sai is overly popular--it hasn't been updated since 2008.

I say get Krita and My paint (both free)
use my paint for quick sketching
and Krita for full drawings... BUT get krita Gemini as it has more updates to make it smoother.

either you don't have a requirement installed, a windows function i suppose
or there are more disastrous things afoot...
