Art Commissions - OPEN
I'm a digital artist who focuses mainly in portraiture! I love to bring characters to life from other creative minds; I find collaborating to be a very healthy way to avoid art blocks and so - my commissions are open! As a writer myself, I have a certain passion for character design, and I'd be flattered if you put your creative faith in my abilities! My style ranges from semi-realism to anime, though it usually ranges between a healthy mix of both. Should you have any questions on the information you read here, please contact me!
Currently there is a waiting list on my artwork, but don't let that stop you! There are plenty of spots open on said list, and I've kept one warm just for you.
Want to receive a 40% discount and skip the waiting list? Ask me how! (Spots are limited.)
Now, before we get started, there are a few things I'd like to make Writing Commissions - OPENI've decided to write up a journal in order to give all of you who wish to work with me an idea of my guidelines and pricing when it comes to writing. If something you're looking for is missing from this post, or you just have questions in general, don't hesitate to contact me by either note or email (those details are listed to the left, on the sidebar) and I'd be happy to chat!
Currently, my writing commissions are full but I've got plenty of spots available for you on my wait list, should you still be interested!

These are definitely interesting for sure to look at and see the progress from the starting point to the end product. Though personally, I've never understood how these sequence pieces count as tutorials - is this specifically a digital painter thing? Hope I don't offend with my question - I just happen to see a lot of people post these type of pieces but I guess I'm the type of person who needs written instruction and live visual aid as well

I guess I will just add my two cents in and say that I really like when artists post literal step by step instructions on how to draw or color something specific as part of a drawing (i.e. ears, noses, hands, eyes, hair) so that people can try what they've learned in their own original pieces. Again, I'm sure these type of process tutorials are a digital painter specific thing so I'll stay hush hush on that

But great work on this, as I really liked the final result. The first part/beginning really looks pretty to me too for some reason, haha!

I wouldn't say that you're wrong! And, I think that everyone learns differently. I would say these are more beneficial to visual learners, for sure.

I think they both count as tutorials, but let me explain my reason for posting these:
As a beginner, I liked to see how artists specifically did entire pieces. Learning how to paint the ears, or the nose, was helpful, but only in learning THAT specific thing - so I was still clueless on how to put them together or how a face should look with all the pieces. I could draw an eyeball like a champion, but watch me try and put it on a face back then and I was hopeless. Of course, one could still study a reference, but sometimes just seeing the process of another artist opens a door or lights a bulb. It's hard to explain for me, but that is my experience and I'm a very visual learner. Maybe that's why others share them too.

Something about these, in my brain, are helpful. I tend to look at a painting, analyze the changes, study the progress. Hence my reasoning for doing a full piece and showing what I did. Perhaps it might make more sense if you saw the full steps to these, as the changes show in greater detail what I've done along the way. However, I try to keep some content exclusive to those supporting patreon.

Written explanations are to come, but right now my support on patreon doesn't free up enough time to create those. Like most freelance artists, I'm making my living off of freelance work and devoting more than 60 hours of my week to both work AND Patreon - if I was making my living from patreon, I could make whatever my followers asked for. I hope that makes sense, and I want to make and create as much as I can for you guys. I have plans for other sorts of tutorials, and literally using every minute of my day to try and do it all - creating for you guys, and working for clients so I can feed myself.

Thanks so much for your feedback, and if you're curious about what's to come, take a look at my patreon goals. No obligation to support, but at least then, maybe you'll have an idea of when to expect detailed, written tutorials. I will also be doing voice over tutorials when the time is available.

Ah, I see. That makes sense. I figured it was more of a thing for painters, definitely I've always drawn with lines and colored within them - not so good at painting myself so I definitely respect those that take the time to learn about it and do studies. If your tutorials and step-by-step process images are helping others, then awesome

Oh yes, please don't misunderstand me - I'm just a hobbyist Only do what you do for your more serious followers who want to learn, definitely. I can't really support anyone right on a monthly basis but I hope to soon, in which case, I would love to have you be the first (and probably only) person I support via Patreon. I'm sure that your current patrons are very happy with everything you do for them and all the resources you provide! All I can say is that I admire you for all the work you put into your job! 60 hours is nothing to sneeze at! Take care of yourself and again, I hate to parrot myself, but I really hope that your channel/profile grows and you gain more followers!
