After the defeat of Raogahro, a number of other kaiju came out of hiding. This included Aqudeus who sought to answer the call of the Guardians, fighting alongside his fellow Protectors to repel any threat to his home.

Aqudeus is a fellow protector of the oceans, with his beliefs often aligning himself right alongside Dangior in battles of ancient times past. Despite this, Aqudeus did not answer the Guardian's initial call as he was desperately trying to keep the ocean's coral reef population alive as humanity's pollution ravaged their habitats. So when Dangior buried herself within the earth in a bid to heal the planet, Aqudeus worked right alongside her in healing the decimated oceans. It was only after Raogahro's return and subsequent defeat that Aqudeus saw how much he was needed. Seeing as the healing of the ocean was progressing quickly, he quickly emerged off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, claiming it as his territory. He then joined the current protectors in their constant patrol and struggle to keep earth safe.

Aqudeus is a strong willed and stubborn individual, often preferring to do things his own way as he views his allies as inexperienced, though he is more than willing to work well with them if he sees their approach as satisfactory. Aqudeus most respects Savajhin among the group, as she and him share similar views on humanity, though Aqudeus is much less willing to attack what remains of them.

Notably, Aqudeus seems to be in opposition with Largaranos, as he views his decision to spare Raogahro as foolish, having clashed with the four armed behemoth many times in his past.

Bite: Aqudeus has an immensely powerful bite, allowing him to slice through armor and even sever limbs.

Shell: Aqudeus' back is protected by an enormous, spiky shell, allowing him to ignore most any attack from the rear.

Coral Shotgun: While not a move he likes to use, Aqudeus can explode some of the coral lining his shell into a blast of shrapnel. Anywhere this coral lodges itself, it can eject a poison into opponents causing temporary blindness or sickness.

Shell Spin: Aqudeus can launch himself large distances by lunging forward and retracting into his shell, allowing him to tear opponents with its jagged edges.

Tongue Punch: Aqudeus can fire his tongue like a harpoon to punch through opponents.
