These unusual creatures are the literal eyes of a massive entity known as V'kehothon, Lord Beneath the Defiler. Tens of thousands of these beings have been plucked from V'kehothon's sockets, now leaving the creature itself completely blind. Only through the Eyes can V'kehothon see, and see it does. Each eye is capable of seeing in various spectrums and dimensions, allowing their "master" to see everything that is happening, will happen or even can happen in the area they observe. These universe-hopping beings are completely without their own sentience, as they are simply an extension of V'kehothon's form; a tool to observe the multiverses from a safe location. V'kehothom is the voice that whispers to the mighty Defiler, informing it of all that goes on around it. Thus, it is imperative, that if one catches an un-camouflaged Eye, they strike it down before it spots them. While it may be replaced, anything that halts the Defiler, even for a moment, can be considered a victory.
