Description
SERIES: Samurai Deeper KyoEntry for the -fanart contest "Crackpairings" (^_^') Basically, the rules were to pair any two SDK characters who aren't canon (i.e., Kyo and Yuya being THE "canon-couple") or aren't often found in fanfiction (such as Yukimura x Sasuke). I chose to do Yuya and Aka-no-Ou (everyone's favorite Mibu overlord) because good sweet Muse of Comedy, if these two ever "got together"... it'd just be wrong. Very, very, VERY WRONG. XP
Not to mention, Kyo would throw one hell of a hissy fit.
I chose to draw Yuya in modern clothes because... I just felt like it. I thought it'd make her look cuter. Plus, the keychain Aka-chan would look less out-of-place with a modern outfit (that's my story and I'm sticking with it!)
The background gave me to most gadawful time, since I couldn't decide on whether to do one of my more involved backgrounds, which would distract from the characters, or something plainer. I'm still not completely happy with it... >.<

Slighty Amusing Anecdote:
I had my little sister/muse Kanashimi in on Yuya's final design conception and color scheme, which went something like this:
Kanashimi: You drew her breasts wrong.
Sylva: No, I didn't.
Kanashimi: Yes, you did.
Sylva: No, I didn't. XP
Kanashimi: *whacks sylva* Yes, you did.
Sylva: T_T Okay, I'll redraw that part.
Kanashimi: (*^.^*) Good onee-sama.
So yeah... and she was right too, which was the worst part! OX
So, I dedicate this to Kanashimi, my beloved imouto-chan, without whose inspiration, I would be lost.

[=^.^=] I was basically thinking, "What could possibly humiliate and all-powerful MOFO bad-ass?" The answer: make him into a plush key-chain and give him to the girlfriend of the guy who will WHOMP HIS ASS. really? (^_^') I kinda thought i was taking the easy way out myself. I was all set to do this overly-involved shoujo bacground (sparkles, sakura, and bubbles, the whole shebang) when I decided I was too tired and would just stick to this.

well sometimes the simpler things look better. Some over the top backgrounds can also take away from the effect of the picture.

*whaps you* because a book requires that you use your imagination to fill in the gaps - what, do you want your brain cells to atrophy and die?! The manga has oodles more character and plot developpment, plus the art is 10x better!
