Description
Series: Tales of the Spirit World: Fall of the Blue SpiritOh, lordy, this is what happens when you drink too much caffeine and watch the latest championship sumo bout on NHK.
I don't care what Yan-sui thinks, I think Hui would look fantastic as a sumo.
Jian loves anything having to do with human culture, so she would definitely be a sumo-otaku.
Rinzen makes his first color appearance!
Pi li is scarred for life - off-screen.
Expect more of these if the muse strikes.

hm... randomest of random thoughts: what do female demons look like? You know, inside the abyss? Cause I know you said they don't have bodies in the "real" world. Like, are they just like guy demons, but with boobs, or do they have different marking thingies or...?

Yan-sui: I don't know. They are shapeshifters. They take desired forms from what they see when they enter dreams or the Spirit World, so any female demon I've encountered never looked the same.
Jian: Really? Zhang-nan, do you know what they look like?
Zhang-nan: Eeehhh... they look a little like Koh's true form when they're spawned, but like the whelp said, they can change it at will. I don't know if they can't or won't revert to their spawn state. It's not something I think about.
Jian: But... they're your daughters, aren't they?
Zhang-nan: 
Jian: ... I guess I keep forgetting our differences in family values.
Zhang-nan: It's all right, lassy - at least you're not as narrow-minded as the humans.

Hui is so adorabble as a sumo. He would have no problem becoming the Yokuzuna.
And Yan-sui is also great. I love his expresion in the last panel.
Congratulation, Rinzen. It was a great debut in color.
And if Pi li is walking around with his eyes closed, you should take a little trip to the Western Air Temple. It has such a lovely location.

oh yeah - anytime he's near beautiful female, his ears flap. hence, they go crazy everytime jian's in the near vicinity (yan-sui sometimes uses them as an early warning system if he wants to avoid her)

It would be interesting if my characters were walking around - everyone would assume they were part of one of my school's cultural exhibitions. Until Yan-sui whipped out Tiao-fei and challenged the kendo club to a duel...

He really does feel responsible for Hui, and not just for what happened in part 2. If I ever get around to writing Hui's tale, I will explain why in detail, although it will be touched upon in later chapters of Fall of the Blue Spirit.

I'll admit, Hui looks kinda cool as a Sumo. He's like a Demon Santa! ^_^ You know, with that girth of his.
And I love how you had Yan-Sui get stuck in the same pose for multiple panels. Shows how... put off he is in seeing his friend in what's basically a glorified Man-Thong.
And then there's Hui's enunciation in his big reveal panel. "Telly-Vision." Such fun. ^_^
And I know it's now impossible, but I would love to see Hui at Jian and Yan-Sui's wedding. Especially the reception. 
Come on Yan-Sui, you know ya wanna... ^_^
