Description My goal was to show a sense of comedy as I generally consider myself to be somebody with a clear sense of humor. I showed this through the use of tracing over and slightly tweaking a photo of me in a strange pose and a chicken hat I'm quite fond of. I also showed this by adding multiple copies of a picture I took of my cat making a strange face. I wanted to add this to my piece to show that not only do I own cats, but that they are also similarly included in my humor. I went for a simplistic no-outlines style for my piece as it's simple, easy to follow and can be seen as a statement on this being an exploration of my  overall character. To fit with this theme of being simple and easy to follow, I chose light, soft colors that are easy on the eyes like lavender, and sky blue as opposed to bright saturated colors such as red or yellow. These colors were also chosen to fit alongside my skin tone. I feel that the simple style used can also help to illustrate something that I also wanted to convey, which is that while my artistic skills aren't the best, I still have creative skill in the form of programming. The binary text is a simple but effective way to demonstrate the idea of coding, computers, and engineering, and it also works as I do like video games and these concepts are often linked. When somebody looks at my piece, my hope is that they look at it and think "This is both strange and interesting at the same time". I don't want to hide my sense of humor, even in my artwork as I feel it's a large part of who I am as a person.
