wow, finally bothered to finish this one...it's been lying around for like ages now...the file was so effin huge that Bumblebee kept lagging and it literally drove me insane. i swear i will never again work with anything near 400dpi in size ever again =_=" ~ (downloadable version is 25 % of the original file.)Anyways, a game of life and death. the white queen is taking out the black king. I wanted to draw the chess pieces looking like they were live humans without actually being so. i kept imagining this great epic battle on this magical chessboard, and when the game was done all the pieces would be restored and ready for another battle...If Bumblebee hadn't been lagging as much i would have considered making a series...but i doubt that's going to happen in any near future...seriously frustrating. but hope u guys like

I love the detail in the armor of this piece, but for some reason the sharpness of the queen's features and facial structure create a masculine face. It's just my opinion though, overall, it's a beautiful piece.

This is really awesome! The details on their armors and the lightning! One thing that slightly bugs me is the king's face, his chin look just a little off, I'm not sure about it though :/ Awesome work nonetheless

Hmm, perhaps you should draw on a smaller canvas? I actually find it a lot easier to do detail when working with smaller resolutions. ^^
