Description My first tattoo on my right ankle, done in 2005.
Butterfly: Parides ascanius (fluminense swallowtail)

Just my Tentacle had to see some coloration, but all my others are just black/white.
I think colored tattoos can look very cheap, if they are done by the wrong person who has no sense for colors.
And the colors fade rather quick.

Yeah, colors in a tattoo fade more quickly than black does!

Yeah, you can retouch the black aswell!
Because after some time even the black fades and sometimes becomes rather bluish.
But this really takes years to happen.
The problem is, refreshing the tattoo costs almost the same as doing it in the first place, and because colored tattoos are more expensive than black and white you just have to pay a whole lot of money to have a fresh looking tatto.
Although refreshing is done 5-10 years after the tattoo was first made, so you don't have to pay every year or so.
But tattooing is an expensive hobby

re-touch costs the same as the original work?, wow, yeah, in this case is better to tattoo a new design
I remember that a friend of mine retouched the colour of his tattoo, but never told me how expensive was this...
yeah, the tattoos is an expensive hobby, and very addictive, rigth?

It's just the first one, soon there should be another one on my calf next to this one..but somehow there were always other pictures I wanted to have beforehand

The next one should be Idea leuconoe (Paper Kite or Rice Paper butterfly).
