When I was making this I was getting really depressed because it was looked really ugly and I was about ready to throw the towel in and chuck it in the trash.I haven't done traditional art in that long x_x
I blame not taking art at school.
*sighs*
Oh well I managed to salvage part of it I think? (thanks to a colouring pencil lol.)
I would really like to get better at traditional art. x_x
Oh. I should really stop being so cheap and use my proper watercolour paper, this was made on cheap think printer copy paper (A4) and just about ripped so many times! lol. Its pretty wrinkly too.
Looks better in real life to me, my scanner hates me.
Mediums used:
Water colour paints (main medium)
Black colouring pencil.
Time: 1hr 15mins
P.S I owe it to some people for inspiration to draw something non-horsey and traditional, check out these people. It was their art that inspired me to make this. :]

What style of art is it to you? o_O I just sat down and drew it haha.

It's a kinda not-overdetailed pencil/paint kind of art. The kind of thing you'd find in a lot of old museums. It gives kind of an abstract feeling. And it's missing enough details that it doesn't fall into the uncanny-valley while retaining enough details to keep the eye busy looking for them all.

I'm a creative writer. I write prose a lot better than poetry. And prose is about writing people's actions. Poetry is about writing images. I've got a couple good poems, but most of them are rather rough around the edges.

I think it looks great, Syra! Sure, I can see some smudges here and there, but that hardly detracts from the image!
I do love the colour scheme you have going here though - complementary red and green really help to bring the fox out from the background, as well as giving a feel of him being in a green meadow-y place, or among bushes. ^^
I just love the inquisitive look, and I have to say that my favourite part of this has gotta be the fox's ears. :3

Oh wow thank you, believe it or not I didn't put anythought into the colours o_o merely chose red because it was a red fox and green because it is my favourite colour, but I am glad they turned out nice in your eyes

OHMYGOSH SYRA. THIS IS GORGEOUS.
The colours you've used are beautiful, bright enough to make the picture delightfully colourful yet calm enough to seem balanced and not be overly-vibrant/clashing. The gentle texture in the background lets the fox stand out really nicely, and I love how you've got a gradient of red to brown throughout its body. You've got a great understanding of fur flow, its expression is adorable, and I just love its ears 
This is one of my favourite pictures from you so far. You're epic with watercolours, do not let yourself believe otherwise!

WOW, I love this!! First of all, all the colors you used in the fox's fur is just fantastic! Gives it some life and so much texture that keeps my eyes moving throughout the picture. The different hues of warm and cool colors is spectacular! They bend and mix well within the fox's fur and the cool colors behind it really bring them out. Not to mention I love the pose!! Overall, great job! I think this looks amazing and I'm glad you didn't trash it~!!

Certainly, I used water colour paints for the most-part. I went over it with a black pencil afterwards. The size of my paper is just ordinary A4 printer paper. :]
