Question: Can you use these on MS Paint? I'm thinking of doing adoptables for the first time, and so far, your bases are the best ones I've seen

You can, technically, but MS Paint may not do anti-aliasing. I'm not sure, I haven't tried it in ages.
The GIMP is a free paint program. There is also Paint.Net, Krita, and SAI offers a free 30 day trial with all options unlocked.
You're going to want something that can make smoother brush shapes.

There are tons of add-ons for the GIMP! I've only used it a few times, but it worked as expected.
