Revamped designs!: ...no change in colours.------------
Conquest, War, Pestilence (Famine) and Death.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
... An this is a variation of that theme, referring from the word "apocryphon" with fitting idea...
The Apogryphon.
...and they're definitely more fitted into the horses (white, red, black and pale) than horsemen...eventhough weapons are same what was said there (...I didn't want they all carry their weapons same way so Conquest's bow and arrow float, and War's sword is attached to tail...).
... Hmm.
And this took a loooong while. ._o' ... Sometimes I feel I'd need a tablet...but then my inner traditional junkie destroys that idea.
Too much time during three weeks. Sore eyes and wrist. .... But it's beautiful...!

Ever heard pf Terry Pratchet? In a book of his ( Good omens) He wrote the four horse men of the apocalypse, you should read it!
They only came in in the end though...

He is my favourite writer. Good Omens is usually found under name of Neil Gaiman, though they wrote it together.

It's part of her and full metallic...besides postcreated creatures doesn't work in rules of biology.

Really magnificent. I love the Riders of the Apocalypse theme, and translating it into gryphons is just excellent. Beautiful work, here; I love how each Apogryphon has very much it's own personality and details. I especially like how each gryphon has a different back half--horse, goat, bird, and lion--it really makes the piece interesting. Also, I have to say that I love Conquest's expression--he's the only one with pupils and has such a great smirk. And do I even have to say that Death's scythe is amazing? Love the omega symbol.

I hope I can write today more useful things then normaly... This oicture deserve it to get some longer coments than just "thats coll" or "amazing work!"... Okay... But in other ways... I realy write always the same, don´t I? I write longer textes but in the end it means the same like these three word comments... Augh...
Okay... I´ll write to every griyhon something... From left to right...
The white one... Normaly I´m not a fan of white creatures which looking that lovely but... I like him I3 A pretty detailed feather chest, together with white "hairs", bandages and gold horns on the head are a pretty combination. The whole design of this area looks pretty... The top of the head, middle of face and the chest have all three a different "material" and that let look him (I hope seriously I´m not wrong and this gryphon is realy male ._.) very interesting... The shading on the whole white gryphon is pretty... To shade white fur and feathers without let it become looking dirty is not easy I think. But you did it absolutly perfectly here... The only thing I miss here... Would be a more different tail... Maybe with some golden parts or anything like that. No idea... But I´m not sure it would be worth it, if you sepnd much time in to a more detailed tail if it is hidden like here... At least for him alone on a picture I think a longer, or bigger tail would be nice... So on this gryphon the head and chest is definitiv the most pretty looking area <3
Second... the red one... Argh, this will now be absolutly... Whatever I just write what I can say... This red gryphon looks just great. Actually I if I wouldn´t know it is a gryphon I would say it´s an own species. He has many realy own markings I never saw bevor at one creature... Beginning with the red claws, and tooth until the red wings and whole red fur body... I never saw bevor a creature what was that red and looked still good. This gryphon looks realy like he would came directly from hell... A creature like from a book about devils... These brown thorn things on his shoulders are pretty. Together with these brown parts on his chest and the chain on his neck they give him a bit... "mighty looking". Like he would be something realy special... like he would be a commander of a army or anything of that. Just a creature what is strong and immortal. Some brown "hard" parts wich look a bit like stone on a red soft looking fur together with a spiky mane and light red claws, tooths and hooves which look more like steel... I love this combination a lot. So~ Now to the wings... These wings are realy a bit... unnormal. I don´t know how to say it but, they looks different from normal wings. Not like leather skin, not like metal, not like fire and not like fur... And even not like normal soft feathers. They have an own material... Or at least they look like that. Maybe it´s a combination from feathers and any kind of metal... No idea but at least it looks realy realy pretty.
Now the third one... (And damn it I begin to become tired with writing ._.). First of all: I love undaths <3 So this here would be my favorite of all four... if the red one would not be that pretty^^" Red hell gryphon wins I3~ But this one here is still nice. Rotten fur and meat together with some dark bones and thorns let him look realy old. The eyes are nice. Black holes with a white "point" as eyes are always scary. If my eyes don´t betray me he has some deep scarfs and wounds... Mostly on his "leg shoulders". True or not, i like these body parts a lot. The tail is easy and classic designed but uit fits just perfectly... This whole gryphon is more easy designed but I like it <3 Typical bone parts, destroyed wings and rotten meat is always nice... And always a bit special, because undeath gryphons are not a typical fantasy creature. You don´t see undeath creatures like this often. So~ Even with an easy design (but still very detailed) it is somthing special.
Last one... Gray grpyhon... It´s a bit strange but he looks old and yound at once .__o The long gray fur together with some furry looking wings and these more soft looking paws let him looks like a bit old, and more lovely gryphon. But his head let him look young... No idea it´s strange, but nice... Very furry gryphon with a long and big fur tail... Nice. And blue hors and claws are again... rare. I never saw a gryphon creature with blue claws like these here. but I like it. The way how you combinate body parts with the same color is pretty. While the white gryphon has the same horn color like his arrow, the red one has the same tooth color like his claws have. And the gray one has now some claws which has the same color like the horns... Urgh, and now I begin realy to loose the ideas what to write about this gryphon here...
So I begin with the weapons... First of all: the idea that every grpyhon "hold" his weapon on a diferent way is great. It let look this group pictue more interesting... And a floating arrow is realy something new. But nice. A holy creature wich fly alone and his wepaon follows him. I like this imagination X3 This hell gryphon has the perfect weapon. A sword on the tail. I always like evil looking creatures which some dangerous tails. He has all over his body some dangerous looking things. Begin from claws, to tooth, to sharp looking wings to the weapon tail. A real war gryphon and the sword is the perfect weapon... The balance artefact is pretty. The deep gold color in hand of an old looking rotten gryphon...But most of all I like the weapon of the gray grpyhon. When I saw this picture the first time I didn´t noticed it, but every gryphon has something I like a lot. And the gray gryphon has a great weapon. A violett long weapon with some beautiful ornaments and symbols. The form of the blade is realy pretty...
The last thing.... A realy short comment to the background: Some fog effects in the foreground and the red "light hole! in the background let it look like the gryphons would came from another kind of world or dimension. At least you chose the best thing here: A background with not too many details. And the red warm color was the best choose I think...

Harhar... And realy... in the end I said the same like someone, who say just one sentence too: It´s a beautiful, great work, MoA. And every one here should respect you a lot... You don´t use a tablet but you create pictures which has the same nivau of some from "experts" with tablets. You detail your creatures just with the mouse and your pictures need more time than just two or three hours, like thit kind of "speed painting" need it... So... At least I, respect works like this the most, because the most people ay that without a tablet it would be impossible to create good detailed pictures... And you always prove the opposite.
