Description I had a very profound meeting with a heron today. It inspired me to create something.

Thank you! When I found the textured paper, it reminded me of wood too. It was just what I was looking for!

Wonderfully elegant, Syxx! The textured paper was a lovely choice for this piece; the grain and darker particles in the paper complement the heron very well, lending its body a subtle feather-covered appearance. Your use of minimal color is beautiful as well. As Shiverz mentioned, it seems to emphasize the quiet meaning you illustrated. Lovely, lovely work.

This is beautiful! The heron looks very realistic and I really like the texture of the paper and the contrast between the light blue and the warm brown colour. It's a very calming piece

Thanks Mooble! I think Im going to go back down the realistic artwork route again, it made me "feel" again. Perhaps because I enjoy photography so much and its similar, whatever it is..Im going to get back into it again

Colours, texture and linework are so amazing in this piece. The lack of colour really works for the defining meaning in this, gorgeous.
