Well this was my entry to the publication my university prints every year showcasing the 3rd years work.The brief was to come up with a illustration based on something we had seen or over heard.
I wanted to do mine on this man that we see every time we go to this certain club around where i live.
He's hilarious! He always seems to attract a little gang as well. He has a striking resemblance to Jarvis Cocker (google him if you don't know the British band Pulp from the 90's) only older and more haggard.
One of the funnest things i will always remember was seeing him dance to Common People (a song by Pulp) with this other guy who was just going crazy.
Anyway. Always wanted to use the line '...but he's always here' so now i have

We have a guy in the town where I go to uni... He's a bloody DINOSAUR but I'll always see him in the same club, every Saturday without fail. :]

Oh, this is great.
I really like the way you've illustrated this, and the way you've layered the colours.
It looks fantastic!
And the story behind it is pretty funny too.
I can just imagine that now, and you've got me listening to Pulp for the first time in years, heh.
It reminds me of a man at my local supermarket, not quite as exciting as a club, but still pretty amusing.
There's this man I see shopping quite often who looks like Vic Reeves i a bad disguise.
Like a fake looking moustache and a big trenchcoat and fedora style hat. Makes me smile everytime.
And don't worry about the watermark, you can barely see it. You can still see the illustration just fine.
Also, congrats on the DD!

ahaha yes, a few people said that. I think the real Jarvis still has the edge though. This guy's face is mainly lines
