Awww. I don't think I've seen the lady in red so...NOT shit your
pants scary.
Hmm...Maybe.....she could only communicate in growls. Like the gallery messed her mind up so much that she
forgot how to speak and could only speak in snarls. Maybe she was asking for help but we were too scared
to do anything but run. Maybe the reason we get her when ever she touches us is because she is clawing
at us, trying to get us to stay and help her out of the painting she is trapped in. And then when she
accidentally kills us, she lies there and weeps a that the one shot she had of getting out of this
insane gallery was gone forever.
Or she was just some really scary half painting lady thing that really just wanted to eat us.
I dunno.

She scared the sh!t out of me when I first played this game...the way she crawls around reminds me of the freaky ghost girl from The Grudge...

I like the Lady in Red too. I saw a playthrough of Ib. But I'm a wimp when it comes to horror games. But at least she gets away from the creepy museum as a custom character I made in Graffiti Kingdom(unfitting title). As she crawls through and I am not joking. Grasslands with bouncing potatoes and handstanding monkeys. A mountain of fire and ice with diaper wearing frogs. A castle of sand with living chess pieces and a laser firing king.
And an underwater world where theres water you can't swim in...
All this and she can stomp on enemies. setting them on fire. or do a cartwheel knocking enemies away. With an exception of being a freaking bullseye for Cannons in a place similar to minecraft....
But at least she can watch races in a gigantic bowling alley.

Well actually, after Garry first joins you, you can return to the red room with the moving storybook.
There's also some dialogue for the painting that you find Garry next to, where he simply explains that he'll read words you can't understand.
I'm about to see just how far you can go back with him - in a few hours though, I gotta go @_@
I'm also pretty sure that you can return to the blue lady who took your flower and read the signs on the wall, which will simply tell you how your body will wilt as your rose does.
Another interesting thing to do with backtracking is to find the closest mirror after Mary joins you. It proceeds to shatter as you get close to it.

the portrait of Ib's parents. I had to repeat that part six times
to figure out what I did wrong. Or where to go out in that manner.

I remember realized she could move by the room with the "Uhh" and "Ahh" statue.
She fell to the floor and I was like "Oh dear I broke it"
