Name- Tyson Rex

Personality- Headstrong, stubborn, rude, impulsive, aggressive, untrusting.
History- After spending entirely too long for his liking in his island home, Tyson finally was able to go about his journey through the Kanto region at age 19. He spent his time capturing and training a team of Pokemon, and upon his return to Cinnabar, he was able to revive a fossil that he had been given. The revived Pokemon was quick to evolve against Blaine and became the core of his team, eventually leaving him to neglect many other team members. During his challenge against the Elite 4, Tyson relied almost entirely on his Rampardos, Gengar, and Sharpedo, who all essentially carry the rest of the team, which he uses sparingly. His Charmeleon, despite being put on the sidelines lately, is immensely loyal, and Tyson rarely uses Goanna because he doesn't want his first Pokemon to receive any serious injuries.
His strategy in battle is a full on frontal assault, and only when that doesn't work does he start to use finesse and strategy. He is difficult to get along with, but once someone gains his trust, he becomes much more easy to be around. He rarely speaks, even in his best of moods.
Despite his lanky form, he prefers a hands-on method to training his Pokemon- namely getting on the battlefield and sparring against them.

Pokemon Team

Charmeleon
Name- Goanna
Gender- Male
Ability- Blaze
Moves- Flamethrower, Smokescreen, Slash, Dragon Rage
Tyson's starter Pokemon, Goanna was his star battler until Tyson's return to Cinnabar, where he was essentially put on the sidelines and only ever brought into battle when he has a clear advantage. Goanna feels neglected, but is the most loyal of Tyson's Pokemon. Typically, he stays outside of a poke-ball, but is always returned when things get too dangerous for Tyson's liking.

Gengar
Name- Igor
Gender- Male
Ability- Levitate
Moves- Hex, Thunderbolt, Hypnosis, Explosion
Igor is Tyson's go-to Pokemon when battling against tricky opponents. He was once the Pokemon of a voodoo priestess who lived outside Lavender Town, and was given to Tyson after he defeated her in battle during a mysterious ritual.

Rampardos
Name- Jurassic
Gender- Male
Ability- Mold Breaker
Moves- Head Smash, Fire Punch, Zen Headbutt, Dig
Jurassic is by far Tyson's most powerful Pokemon. After evolving mid-battle against Blaine, Jurassic stampeded through the rest of the gym leader's team of Pokemon and has yet to ever lose one-on-one battle. Jurassic holds no restraint when sparring against Tyson, and behaves more like a savage monster than a trained battler.

Bastiodon
Name- Castleface
Gender- Male
Ability- Sturdy
Moves- Metal Burst, Bulldoze, Stealth Rock, Roar
Another Pokemon revived from a fossil that Tyson received, Castleface is an immovable wall that Tyson sends into battle whenever he needs to outlast an opponent. Castleface and Jurassic don't get along at all, and whenever the two of them are outside of their poke-balls at the same time, they will do nothing but fight one another. During one of their more brutal fights, Castelface broke one of his horns as it sliced into Jurassic's skull, resulting in the two injuries that mark the pair.

Sharpedo
Name- Brighelda
Gender- Female
Ability- Rough Skin
Moves- Aqua Jet, Ice Beam, Crunch, Zen Headbutt
Brighelda was received by Tyson in a trade with his father, who had captured her while out fishing in Hoenn. Tyson traded his Kingler for her, as his father needed something that could help him out on the boat instead of something that would be restricted to the water. Brighelda is typically rather sweet towards Tyson, but will go into a feeding frenzy at the slightest scent of blood. She received the hook through her dorsal fin during her battle against Tyson's father as he attempted to haul her up onto the deck to get a clear shot with his poke-ball.

Crobat
Name- Matilda
Gender- Female
Ability- Infiltrator
Moves- Brave Bird, Giga Drain, Whirlwind, Cross Poison
Matilda was the very fist Pokemon that Tyson caught in the wild. She is fickle and will only ever battle when she wants to- typically against an opponent who can also fly. Despite being plenty large enough, she rarely if ever lets Tyson ride on her back.
