I'd suggest getting in touch with Tom/IDW and asking whether it's possible to have a one off story done like this some time after. Wouldn't necessarily be connected to anything that came before it... If I were writing as well, then I'd kind of insist on it standing on its own (except for the movies of course).

I'm disappointed GB or the crossover for that matter doesn't seem to have been talked about at NYCC.

I was surprised about that actually as well. I'd just ask if there's room for more Ghostbusters stuff outside of the ongoing at some point (and maybe add that you'd like to see what I'm doing now in a comic -- as I keep saying... I've got ONE story I'm dying to tell).
