A classic of the original animated series, for me, this Quetzalcoatl was like the Rodan of that series, and here it applies:
You see, Quetzal was once a Pteranodon, a prehistoric flying reptile that went into wintering at the bottom of a crater and survived the extinction of the rest of the prehistoric animals of its era and time, absorbing the radiation of the earth and evolving. A few million years later, Quetzal woke up in the golden age of the Aztecs and Mayans and because of his appearance the indigenous people thought that he was the main god of that culture: "Quetzalcoatl" the feathered serpent. But after feeding a little, he decided to go back to sleep in a volcano, that the future would be known as the "Popocatepetl".

Other years later, in this present, the volcano began to have unusual activity and the volcanologists were surprised to see some images of heat that had the shape of an animal. This news and information reached Nick Tatopulus, Kid Blank and his friends to investigate. But they arrived precisely at the moment when the creature woke up, luckily Godzilla arrived before the scene, but unfortunately, Quetzalcoatl dominated and attacked from the air. But Godzilla was also a good fire shooter and hit the fluffy flying reptile.

And the guays was about to take them to an extremely secret area (Isla de los mutantes), but the team was called for another matter in Central America, for an underground problem that affects the life and nutrition of many villagers, and when the team left, Quetzal was released himself and go to the same direction.
