I suppose that I should not think about my issues with sharp food in cartoons too much... it is still quite a good take on the trope. I am just wondering why people would think of... oh well, pain is sometimes compared to a burning feeling, so never mind. I suppose the irony is that it's name is dragon pepper, but a dragon (even though it's perhaps depending on the sub-species) can't eat them either... oh well, that's where the pain comes in.

Yeah, it's just random silliness. Most of the comedy in my cartoons is like that unless I'm trying to make some specific point.
