Ha! You're just saying that because you're my biggest fan!! Where have you been? I have been trying to layer my colors, because I quit before my pieces are done. I am just as terrified by color as you, I am just taking the chances. Let me see you do a work of color. That's your assignment!!

Just one of many fans, I'm sure! I have to believe that you lead and very joyful and positive life - your work is very bright, playful and cheerful. It leaves a person with a good feeling.

I actually did post an attempt at some color a few pictures back. It's a whole different (and scary) world for me. I am uncomfortable working with color so far, but I plan to continue messing around with it because it stretches me in some important ways. Taking chances with my art is one of them.

Complicated answer to "where have you been?". Maybe another time.

Not too big of a deal, just a lot of different things. Not the least of which is I have a touch of manic/depressive (not literally), I'll go crazy on something for a little while and then drop it like a hot potato!

I get what you mean. I am bipolar (really manic/deppressive), but luckily, my art is one thing I don't drop.

Thank God you don't drop your art! I hope I didn't offend you with my little joke. I've known a few people over the years who have struggled with severe bipolar, very sad situation, nothing to joke about in reality. I know all cases aren't way out there, but hopefully you have it under control.

Oh yeah, I'm good. My son has problems with it, though. He's hitting puberty and sooooo many emotions to deal with even in the normal range. Sadly he is outside the normal range right now, but it gets better. I have introduced him to art as an outlet and he LOOOOVES to draw, mostly manga.

Sounds like he's fortunate to have you! My daughter has dealt with a LOT of stuff over the last couple years - discovered ADHD, major depression & anxiety disorders (to name just a few). Thank God we're on the other side looking back now. Think we FINALLY got the meds right and she's doing fantastic. Again, most credit to God! Really tough to see your kid struggle that way!! She too has discovered a little drawing.
