Description
This was an avatar commission for the great of her character Dirtiran. It was lots of fun to build, even though some parts nearly drove me crazy. *g* This one is not for sale in this form, but Dirti allowed me to mod it and sell the modded form, so when I find the time I eventually will.

It's free, but for nicer stuff you'll have to buy or earn an in-world currency, but we're talking really low sums here (usually less than a cup of coffee costs IRL). Safe... yes, the software is safe. But mentally... you can find everything in that world, basically, nothing is too weird to have been built. xD But there are filtering options.

I took 1000L$ if I remember correctly but future commissions will be a bit more expensive, I'm afraid. It simply takes too much time to make these things. Wish they'd release an external editor. -___-

I somewhat experimented with creating avatars but it took too much time and made no good (not even nearly) results so I understand you. Yeah, external editor would be too cool to be true, it seems.

Nope, you create the shapes in-world and push them around until hours and several nervous breakdowns later they look remotely like what you had imagined.

^^ I don't think I can explain "that all". But a furry avatar is mostly just a bunch of shapes and textures attached to a colored human shape. You can buy premade ones or create your own from primitive shapes. The most annoying part is how to get the money... you can create a paid account or get some starting bonuses when you have paypal, if not you'll have to 'camp' for money or find a virtual job which might take a while. But there's tons of freebie items as well. SL is really just a glorified chatroom integrated into a capitalism simulation.
