I think out of all of them she is my least favorite that u have drew... she is a mother goddess and it seems that in this one she is more of malice born creature then the goddess she really is

Hello, Hera is the goddess of family. This? Looks like some female version of Thantos or Melinoe, she's so creepy. And the hat looks like it belongs on a bishop's head.

I like how you worked in a peacock motif there on her hat. It's Hera's favored animal.

None of the Gods were ever Banned from olympus, that is just In Books.Hades Poseidon Zues and a Few others do not live on Olympus, that is probably where the Misinterpratation Came from. But i like the way you made Hera, Looks rather Manish with the face, But good. And her Animal Symbol was the COW xd

This is really good and all but it looks really masculine, and the only thing that makes hera all that bad is the fact that she is overly jealous. Again its good but...

I feel a little awful saying this, but there's one thing that bothers me about your goddesses: while the almost tangible feeling of power is perfect, their faces look unmistakably male to me. D: I think I would make them a tad more delicate.

this looks very good, but the only thing that i don't is that her face looks VERY masculine.
not that i could ever do anything like that, just thought i'd give some helpful criticism.

WOWZA! Very interesting. I like how you make the female goddesses different than the usual interpretation, as I noticed with your Aphrodite. They're usually very pretty, but rather static. These really express the personalities perfectly!!!

hmm...have you read the Aeneid? That might give you a better perspective on Hera if you're looking for a more refined angle. (Since the Aeneid was written by Vergil--a Roman--appelatur Juno.)

There are actually more than 12 Olympians, but there are only 12 Olympians ever at one time. Hestia (or Vesta in Roman) was left out in favor of Hades, who is often not considered one of the 12 Olympians, since he does not reside on Mt.Olympus. It really depends on what your source is to determine exactly WHO the 12 Olympians were, considering there are about 15 or 16 Gods and Goddesses who at one time were considered to be one of the 12 Olympians. Dyonysus, for example, is another one of the Gods who was later considered to be part of the Olympians. Check out wikipedia if you want to see some other info on it.

I've never seen Hera in dark shades.
I like it. Its just. Strange. =/
Hm. Maybe im the only one who thinks so.
I guess im used to the Disney version of Hercules.
Hera was blonde haired...Pink...
Heh...

CyanSoul In reply to Ansteckend [2009-06-16 21:11:06 +0000 UTC]
Hehe... that version is probably the wrongest version ever. Hera is mostly known to be a little mischievious, extremly jealous and kinda mean in stead of a kind and caring mother like in the Disney cartoon. Personally I think a dark design fits her perfectly. I would have gone for a dark design if I was to do Hera.
