Description At the Komo Shrine 「薦神社」 in the main temple complex, there are wooden tags tied to a wall. I believe that these are ema 「絵馬」 or wooden tags where worshipers write their prayers or wishes. These are left hanging in the hopes that the kami (gods) come and fulfill them.

More from this shoot
At the beginning of December, we decided to go take some pictures. My husband had mentioned that he bikes past a few shrines on his way to one of his schools, so we grabbed the camera bag and headed out. It turns out, this is a rather large Hachiman shrine, the Komo Hachiman Shrine 「薦神社」I cannot wait to go back again to get more pictures!

I would like to leave one of these at a temple at least once in my lifetime.
