have you ever tried using corel? it's much different from photoshop but I think you woud like it, it is very good traditional media simulator.
this looks very lovely pretty I like it lots, she has such a kittenish face :3

Yeah, I might buy Painter sometime this Winter, but I promised myself that I would only buy Painter once I master OpenCanvas and that I would only upgrade my Photoshop once one of my paintings gets over 1000 favourites. Why? Because I don't deserve fancy software unless I can do that.

Aww... I'm not as fancy as that but I still use it cuz it's fun. I get all my software free cuz I have freinds in the college graphics department ._. I fohget that it's really expensive... but you deffinately deserve it

Haha I was just trying to make a point, I didn't mean the favourites thing lol. I've tried Painter and it 'is' a great piece of software but I just won't be able to make the most of it unless I master the basics first.

Hmm. All the programs are so different though, that they can't really be compared in terms of fancy-ness. Some people can create much nicer things in ms paint than I could ever hope to in corel. xD

That's why I'm not too adamant about shifting to Corel. Infact, I like OpenCanvas even more than both Photoshop and Corel sometimes. Other times, I like oekaki more than anything lol
