Description
I made this to enter it into an exhibit, the theme being Tarot/Astrology and such. Still thinking about it.. >,>I chose to paint The Empress.
Watercolor on 12 x 16 inch watercolor paper

UPDATE: Painting is now completely dry so the pigments look different than earlier. Also, was able to take picture in a better lit area.

It's really beautiful. So much bright light, and her lovely face - beautiful! I love the concept of doves being born out of her raiment. I only think her hip is to big

Personally, I love delicate, fragile colors combined with linear composition (I guess that's the way how you call it, if not, blame me bad English ^^), so for me your piece of art is perfect. I wonder - do you like A.Mucha or other secessy artists?

Thanks! I'm glad you appreciate this medium. I love using the wet-in-wet technique, I think it really showcases the distinct qualities of watercolor that set it apart from other paints.
