EDIT: Changed something nobody will probably notice.

A collaboration I did with the awesome squidkid11 ; I colored her lineart. We decided that Finitevus being up to absolutely no good mollycoddling his best friend would be a fun idea.

I tried to make the lighting interesting. The glow coming from the Emerald and segments was a good contrast to Finitevus' magic barrier around Knuckles. This thing has SO MANY layers I didn't even bother trying to keep count. One of the interesting things I learned is that Knuckles' straight red color doesn't shade very well with red hues. I had to use cyan to shade for the luminosity, and it actually made it look like how I wanted. :/ Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, and it only took me two days! That's super fast for me! And, it was actually FUN, which is something I've been missing from art as of late. First collab I've colored on here, actually (the only other one I did the sketch/lining.) I'll have to do them more often. Oh yeah, and zoom in for those details.

Made in PaintToolSAI with a Wacom pentablet, and some of the Master Emerald was done in GIMP.
