To compliment last year's Designer Princess range DisneyStore has come up with a Designer Villain range. [link]Which is all awesome except that they made a really skinny, tentacle-less and kind of weird-looking Ursula... so here's my rendition of her in her new fancy dress.
Like she's SUPPOSED TO LOOK!

I love the design of this ursula. I recently came across pictures of villans made sexy, and I was disappointed that they skinnified her. Your Ursula comes across (for me at least) as a turn of the century woman, probably a bit bougie, but it fits, and I love that the tentacles are peeking from underneath the dress, and the eels by her side.
Not to mention her bitch face, I love this rendition of her

I don't get the whole 'skinny' Ursula thing; she's not skinny! Thank you for drawing her how she's meant to look and with Floatsam and Jetsam no less! Nice dress by the way!

kind of bugs me how they kind of just did away with the diverse body and facial styles with this line...everyone just looks so samey more or less with their faces and all. i really like the art on the books and bags though, and would probably go and buy one, even of skinny ursula. still, yours looks so better and accurate. she looks soooo glamorous and villainous in your style, its wonderful!

Probably to save money tbh so they could use the same doll body for everyone. There aren't any voluptuous plastic dolls anyway that I've seen, even the DisneyStore Ursula doll has a soft stuffed-toy body and tentacles. Might have something to do with safety regulations too, if they had a big doll of solid plastic it would be quite heavy and a child swinging it around could hurt another. /shrug It's all a guessing game as to why. Still, when you make a "for adults" collectible doll and charge an arm and a leg for it there's really no excuse imho.

i might have mistaken it. I heard a rumor that it was teenaged, as you can see differences between them that make them look younger (especially mother gothel) but hey, ur guess is as good as mine!!!!

I feel they really wasted an opportunity on Ursula/Vanessa. If her face just looked more like Vanessa's they could have gotten away with her being skinny and tentacle-less.
