Here's the start to the fun part of the Nijikanger project, a follow up to this journal entry: www.deviantart.com/taiko554/jo… The 'Seconds' are anomalies in Super Sentai's history which take the form of rangers throughout the series. The Nijikanger travel through time to discover these anomalies and correct history.
"Gokai Ghost!" (evil; his 'ranger keys' are all mook/footsoldiers)
"Shinken Black!" (evil; visor is based on the kanji for "yami"/darkness)
"Knightninger!" (swapped with Starninger)
"Gold Kujaku!" (extra; peacock)
"Battle Egypt!" (swapped with Battle Kenya, Cossack, and Miss America)
Basically the idea was to find a color for each Second that wasn't already used by a ranger or alt mecha in a given series. Then it was just a matter of rotating out colors so that repeating colors weren't back-to-back. Everything's all set, just gonna be making the Seconds in batches and maybe upload a couple group shots in the end. Each batch will boil down to the voting in the above journal entry and feature two favorite series (Gokaiger and Shinkenger), one least favorite series (Ninninger), one most interested series (Jetman), and then a series with no votes in either ranking/listing (Battle Fever J).

I hadn't really thought about it, but I imagine there wouldn't be enough time in a Gokaiger episode/story to really delve into which keys had disappeared.

I have this idea that the Gokaiger Arc is like an important arc, and the two teams actually work together to defeat the Second, and they bond.

Well yea, most if not all Evil Seconds would be defeated by teamwork of Nijikanger and the canon team.

In the context of the swapping, the historically correct ranger would have never existed initially in the narrative of the Nijikanger's travels with the anomalies of the Seconds. So there'd be no reason for Knightninger to be proving himself "just as good" as Starninger. Further, Battle Egypt doesn't take turns swapping; when the Nijikanger travel back to Battle Fever's time, there are just the three rangers due to Egypt's anomaly; she swapped Cossack, Kenya, and America out at once, not sequentially.
That's all to say...no.

Exactly what it sounds like. In the context of the story, the Nijikanger team travel throughout time and canon Sentai teams and encounter anomalies in each named "Seconds". There are certain Seconds which are swapped with canon Sentai characters where, said canon character(s) doesn't exist within context of the Nijikanger's travels until the team corrects the anomaly/detains the Second and restores the correct timeline.

Pretty much, yes. The Seconds are anomalies causing each series' timelines to be out of whack, regardless of the Seconds' status as evil, extra, or swap. The various types of Seconds are defeated and/or detained in variants of the Toki Tokens which are the gimmick coins used by the team to transform/henshin.
No. The Seconds are not summoned after the team corrects the anomalies.

Blank Toki Tokens just become the detainment unit like the Dekaranger cards. There may or may not be a main villain.
And yes. By existing in their respective series, the Seconds affect that series. Especially those that are swaps, thereby removing canon rangers from their series.

Yes, the Seconds all affect their respective series' timelines in a unique way. Evil Seconds fight against their respective series' rangers and the Nijikanger. Swap Seconds replace/erase canon rangers from their respective series. Extra Seconds are the more tame ones as they simply throw off the energies of their respective teams.
And no, not every damn evil Gokaiger suit has to be involved with Basco. Hell, I've already been there and done that. It's not a fun idea anymore so people need to move on from it.

I how you did a little bit of "mega mode" from PR Samurai in Shinken Black's armor (namely with it being primarily just chest armor)
I also love the 'ice blue' type color on the inside part of Ghokai Ghost
I like Knightninger, he just looks too much like it'd be hard to do ninja-y things in that armor

It's not the mega mode armor at all.
It's more of a ghostly green color than ice blue.
It's not really too much more armor than Starninger or Shurikenger's armor.

I just love your mixed Ranger teams and design you give them this odd vibe but it make cool that it works so well anyone else did this would be laugh at for doing it but you pull it off and not been made fun of for it that what I love about your addition Rangers.
