*Updated 8/3/20 with two new Seconds!*
Paired with this journal entry: www.deviantart.com/taiko554/jo… All submissions for possible will have to be made on that journal, not here. This will cover all Seconds from series 46-60. I kinda expect this project to take a preeeeeeety long time.
from left-->right up top:
"Raptor Reaper!" (from Bakan Sentai Kasekiger, series #57; evil). Motif is a velociraptor, naming is supposed to be slightly alliterative, and plays into the secondary of being a grim-reaper type character. He's able to take control of other mecha and Kasekigers (tho rangers are harder due to more advanced brains), changing their colors to his own scheme. Amber was his chosen color because of the team's name (kaseki/化石 meaning fossil) and amber being fossilized resin. This also plays into his ability to take control of others and coat them in his color scheme, like fossils in amber.
"Black Pluto, 8!" (from Yuusei Sentai Rocketman, series #47; extra). Motif is self-explanatory; she rounds out the extra trio; her black coloring is akin to Hyperforce Black's ever-so-slightly lighter shade.
"Engine White!" (from Nenshou Sentai Engineman, series #45; swapped with the movie military trio). Motif is the number 0, but kinda along a planetary ellipse-type symbol; further motif is a UFO/alien so he gets a more traditional 'alien eye' visor rather than a singular/typical Sentai visor shape.
"The First Second, Gyaku Cyan!" ('big bad' of the series, so obviously evil; motif is the numeral L for 50, which is the series number for Tokei Sentai Nijikanger)
"Brown Tick!" (from Touhyou Sentai Gunshuger, series #60; extra; motif is a tick). Brown Tick's backstory is that he's a redeemed member of Gunshuuger's evil counterparts, Kachuuger, whose motifs were other arthropods. So since he's an 'extra' good guy, Brown Tick keeps his motif but gets some of the angular/sharper motif and good-guy coloring.
"Gamma Shift, Gray!" (from Vector Sentai Mirrorman, series #55; evil). He's a shadow/inverse of the united Red/Blue Delta Shift White suit. His gauntlet arrows are double-sided to kinda show he doesn't belong/can't belong in either dimension.
"The knight of darkness! Black Shadow!" (from Shinka Sentai Crusager, series #53; swapped with Violet Lightning). He's a good guy with a darkness motif. I actually had this motif written down with a question mark when the idea was first proposed; as such, his base-level animal motif is a wolf, his super would be cerberus.
"Fire X-R!" (from Elite Covert Strike Rangers, series #51; extra). His rank is zero and his bird theme is the phoenix, hence his Fire title and eye-coloring being a flame-like effect. In my head, his backstory is a long-sealed hero of ancient times now without a home/country (hence the lack of a flag); he was freed and took up the motif as a phoenix rising in modern times.
from left-->right down below:
"Femme Fatale! Shinpi Crimson!" (from Kikku Sentai Shinpirange, series #68, extra). She's not really a 'hero' nor 'villain', kinda your typical femme fatale antagonist, think Catwoman or Black Cat.
"Chakra White!" (from Keihatsu Sentai Chakranger, series #46, swapped with Orange, Indigo, and Magenta). Her motif is a rhino and six-petal lotus flower.
"Stinger Gold!" (from Kankyou Sentai Koutairanger, series #52, evil). I thought it'd be fun to have an evil gold ninja. He's a lightning elemental and is paired with a scorpion.
"Kinkou Nadir!" (from Chinza Sentai Kinkouger, series #46; evil). He's basically a shade/shadow version of the extra/"sixth", Kinkou Apex. As such his coloring is silver, with bluer accents against the crimson. Nadir is just generally a cool sounding antonym for apex.
"De Pink!" (from Ouji Sentai Gatchiriger, series #48; swapped with Delta Green). Her letter is the Cyrillic De (Д) to further stand out as the anomally, and that letter is also kinda D, as is Delta Green's Δ, so it works. Her motif is cricket, a non-Olympic sport and her animal would also be the cricket, because why not go for the double-meaning?
"Alchemy Gold" (form Kaihan Sentai Alchemyranger, series #59; swapped with the 'sixth', Alchemy Wonder). He's obviously based on gold but with a lil stained glass type pattern with the core five's colors in his philosopher's stone symbol.
"T-Raint Navy!" (from Ryokou Sentai Tetsudouger, series #44, evil). His name is a word play on train and tyrant. He's just a bad guy, nothin' too special.
"Hourou Violet!" (from Fujuu Sentai HourouRanger, series #49, extra). Her note is the double whole note/breve and her animal is a swan.
Everything here is my hard work. Please don't touch anything without permission. Thanks.
