Well, there's been a new PR series for nearly a year...woops. 2017 has not been a great year for me making things. But as apparently is a norm, new PR series means the rangers gets armor in the cockpit. Because toys.All in all, not too terribly special, just really wide and pointy. The Samurai ones were cool because they redesigned the suits completely. The first batch of Dino Charge ones are much in the same vein as these, just slap a chestplate on top. But the second round of Dino Charge, Super Drive, were cooler because they put more armor and changed the helmets slightly. Newer Ninja Super Steel toys show a further armed mode for the rangers with something more than just a chestplate so that should be cool (except colored lines...in the visors? ew). But these are just kinda meh.
Yes, I know I'm behind on updating the PR pick. I know two of the extra reds exist. I'll get to it when I get to it. As for Master Modes for them, I don't think they've been in a megazord cockpit, and I will only edit Master Modes for them if/when they use them in the show.

Ninja steel sucks even worse than ninninger because the bad guys aren't yokai and therefore clash with the ninja theme. But that's what you get when Americanize an explicitly Japanese themed series am I right? Thank god the monsterverse AVOIDED Americanization.

If I may be honest, Power Rangers Ninja Steel's Master Mode was just stupid in my opinion. I mean, I understand Samurai's Mega Mode and somewhat understand Dino Charge. But is it just me or am I saying that this idea was not smart?

Ninja steel pretty much took everything stupid about ninninger and cranked it up to 11 and took everything that might have made it unique in america out (like ignoring obviously JAPANESE elements.) If samurai wasn't localized enough then ninja steel is too localized.) Am I right?

I agree the design is.....well, meh. Especially with the "buzzsaw blade", like "Whaaa?".
But what bugs me to my boiling point is that the mode is only used in the Megazord cockpit. This idea, it's getting kinda old if you asked me. They should be using these modes for ground fights, especially for adapting Sentai seasons that don't have their own "power-up mode". Would make for better originality to use the budget for.

Yea I don't understand it from a story perspective. Ranger suits are apparently enough to protect the wearer on the ground from lasers, blades, all sorts of damage. But oooh, in the cockpit, they need armor. It just makes no sense.
From a budget perspective, I get it though. New fighting footage is expensive. Cockpits are basically just a soundstage with different dressings, so that's relatively cheap. It's just disappointing.

Well actually, the way I see it, if they can afford to redress the soundstage like that, and film completely new footage for the piloting, And have plenty of "filler" US footage for ground fights (I can tell by the backdrops suddenly changing), then I believe they have the budget for at least a little bit of a new power-up mode on the ground. What's really "expensive" to me, is what they did in PRLG (new footsoldiers) and PRLR (a new Ranger).

I love the look of Ninja Master Mode armor, it looks awesome to me though.

If I remember correctly, this big pointy armor is capable of turning into a big awkward shuriken, oh I'm sorry it's a "Power Star," that gets put on kind of like how the Arms Change line in Gaim worked. So at least it's got that going for it in terms of thematic. Other then that, it's kind of meh. And why is the weapon a chainsaw?
Also, I like how they gave White the pink shoulder bits. Helps it match the suit more.

Yea I don't get the chainsaw thing. I didn't think that was a weapon/tool specifically associated with ninjas in anyway. I guess it's "cool".
I get why White has the pink accents, but it bothers me. Just having the pink accents period bothers me on the normal suit though.

I'm more so happy that Bandai of America acknowledged that she does use different highlight colors. The fact that her highlights are different in the first place bugs me.

Nicely done, I am not a fan of this season honestly but it might be because I enjoyed the Sentai quite a bit and I hate seeing them cutting out so much of its story.

I kind of liked the sentai too... except for Takaharu, I really disliked that guy. And the attachment mechas and their combos. And I'm kind of let down by Lion Ha-oh. And I still have split feelings about Gekiatsu.

Thanks. I actually didn't enjoy Ninninger at all and hoped PR would be a bit better. Buuut lost that hope maybe five or six episodes in.

don't worry they'll do about another 20 episodes worth next year. and I enjoyed the sentai too. I laughed in the epilouge movie when Taka and Fuka's mom revealed Cloud had a crush on his big cousin Kasumi. I also liked when they teamed up with those red sentai ninjas
