Happy New Year, pt. 1! Gotta preface this with the fact I don't read the comics, but shit happened so I'm trying to make a couple things.
In the Tommy-fest comic, Soul of the Dragon, his son has become the next Green SPD Ranger. Which would be fine, except that costume now includes the Dragon Shield. Things like this is exactly why cut-n-paste designs look terrible.
Bridge became SPD Red, in the Dekarangers Returns Fire Squad suit. Sky became Deka Ranger (har har), a recolored and slightly remodeled Deka Master/SPD Shadow Ranger. This was actually a lot of fun to make and is the only reason I included the others, just as a bit of explanation or whatnot. Z and Syd stayed their respective colors, which is a bit of a bummer but w/e. An apparent NPC from Hyperforce became SPD Blue.

That must suck getting all that negative attention. I've just been looking at all the discourse in your journals seeing some people justifying art theft because "you should share" and how copyright laws are unfair. By that logic I can't get mad if someone breaks into my house and steals all my stuff cause I need to share, right?

Yup, exactly. People are assholes. And one of his pics had a description like "this is an apology"...but he still stole my artwork.
My favorite idiotic/uninformed argument is "they're not your characters, you can't copyright them". I'm not. I'm copyrighting the artwork of them, which is mine, as is my right as the person who put in the time and effort to create said artwork. My analogy is that a photographer doesn't take a picture of a tree and then claim copyright of that tree; no, they would just claim copyright of the photo.

Deka Ranger is actually two jokes. The obvious one to the Sentai and 'deca' is a Greek word for ten.

To each their own, I guess but it looks awful. It's a big golden piece on a suit that has no gold to tie in with. The Dekaranger/SPD designs are sharp angles, the Dragon Shield is curved. It doesn't mesh well at all.

Not really. The only thing that comes to mind is Deka Ranger looks like a step up from Shadow Ranger, so instead of Deka Master, it'd be Deka Commander. But that's just me
