Description
This is a new team I whipped up over the last few days. It's nothing too special, just a theme I wanted to try out for myself. With that being said, the theme is speed and sports. The team is called Saisoku Sentai Senshuger (最速戦隊センシュジャー, lit: Fastest Force Player-ger).

Their individual motifs are based on popular team sports in the world, but also sports I either have played or was taught as a kid/in school. This neglects a few US-centric sports that aren't that popular elsewhere in the world but also neglects a couple other global sports that I've never partaken in.

Red is Football/Soccer, most popular sport in the world. #1
Blue is Baseball, my favorite sport. This also provides background for red-blue conflict. #2
Green is Tennis. #3
Violet is Field Hockey. #4
Yellow is Volleyball. #5

The colors beyond red are meant to be off hue versions of more standard Sentai/Ranger colors, but also fall in line with popular colors used in sports. Unfortunately I could only find a massive infograph for a few US sports, so that's what I referenced and then blended a couple close colors to get the results above, with red being the most popular. Blue and navy were next populous, so they were blended to the hue above. Next, teal and green. Then, orange and yellow. Finally, violet and maroon, though because maroon isn't used to much, the color is more dominated by violet.

The suits base design is much like Gekiranger's core three, in that they don't have belts and have relatively small boots and gloves. The basic design for the suits is, obviously, based on lightning bolts to separate different sections. Each ranger then has their own individual ranger color in different sections. So they're not all colored the exact same way which is kinda cool to me. The helmets were originally based on a boxing-like sparring helmet, but that kinda fell to the wayside in later stages. Their numbers are featured in the center of the helmets. Each sports' ball is somewhat designed into the top of the helmet, which oddly was kinda challenging for field hockey as she just gets some dots. I had an idea for a sixth that was based on a triathlon, but couldn't get a design to work for what I wanted, so decided these would work better as a classic five-memeber old school team rather than newer.
