I post again!Introducing Celia, a innocent-yet-voluptuous homebody calico cat who does whatever she pleases when she's by herself. Pictured in the privacy of her pink room lined with stuffed animals, she dances to a song on her iPawd (GET IT?!) in the early afternoon. Celia, though thick in the right spots, maintains an air of sweet innocence and is quite modest and shy about her appearance, with only her closest online friends aware of what she looks like. She is generally found sitting in front of a computer screen and/or listening to music.
The calico spots were actually rather fun and easy to do. I did a multiply layer with the spots, and laid them over her fur shading. And I know calico cats in reality only have 2 additional colors aside from white (not 3), but she's bipedal with human-like features so I think it can slide.
[UPDATE] Because I'm getting an influx of comments going "Innocent? Modest?", I'll explain the picture more bluntly. What makes her innocent is that she's unaware that other people (such as you) would view this as questionable; she's just having fun and enjoying herself, because she's alone and can do as she pleases. If your interpretation of this image doesn't line up with how I see it, that is unfortunate. And quite frankly, I don't care to hear it. Comments disabled.

sorry but wearing booty shorts and a tank-top that's two sizes too small does not match up with a 'modest, innocent and shy girl'

I like how all you sarcastic asshole kids use that trendy, "edgy" small-text. It's a good metaphor for how small and insignificant your opinions really are. When backed into a corner, all you kids can do is call the other person "sexist" or criticize their anatomy without providing any specific citations. It's pathetic.
Also, you use a period to end a sentence, not a comma.
You need to really do some serious work on your grammar.

It looks like you've changed your artistic style a bit or I haven't seen your work for so long that I forgot how great it is.
The new character is nice, but the scene in which you placed her (as well as the character herself) resembles a scene from movie is just watched recently. I can't remember the name of the movie but this new drawing just looks SO much like it!

The one thing about this piece that really bothers me is how her design is totally and completely inconsistent with her description. I do not know a single "shy and modest" person that would wear anything like this or carry themselves in this manner. If you're going to give a character a description, you need to make the artwork consistent to it. Otherwise, there's no point.

She's dancing alone in her room and wearing what she feels is comfortable. I don't see what the problem is.

I'm just saying that if you're going to give the description of a character and then have what they're doing go TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY AGAINST THAT DESCRIPTION, then you need to explain why they're doing that.
My entire problem is that you're given this description about how she's so innocent and modest and etc., but her image doesn't fit that at ALL. It would have made sense to add a "here she is in the comfort of her room doing whatever" or something.

It's unfortunate that it doesn't make sense to you, but the world will keep turning. It makes sense to me, at least. "Pictured in the privacy of her pink room" is pretty similar to "here she is in the comfort of her room doing whatever" anyway.

Context does change things a little here... givens that she's doing this in the privacy of her own home, she's fairly literally "dancing as if no-one is watching" And as for modesty, that doesn't mean someone wears dowdy clothes all the time, her clothes also appear to be workout clothes, so the freedom of movement and aeration they provie could be a factor too, though the garters do seem fairly random, even as part of the rest of the outfit.

I understand that. My entire issue kind of sits with the description being one way, but her portrayal completely and totally going against that description. Either leave the description for a time when she is actually appearing to be shy or expand the description to say that when she's in the comfort of her own home, she's free-er or something to that extent.
Otherwise, the image doesn't fit.
